I am running for Mayor because I believe in Monroe and the values that have guided me throughout my life: faith, family, hard work, and service to others. My years in the Marine Corps, over 25 years in law enforcement, and my work on the Planning Board and City Council have given me the tools needed to lead with experience. I am committed to making thoughtful decisions that preserve the character of our hometown, strengthen our community, and ensure a safe, prosperous future for our children. With your support, I will continue to serve Monroe not just as a leader, but as a neighbor, a father, and a public servant who puts the needs of our citizens first.
I graduated from a local high school and began pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. To help pay for my education, I enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, an experience that taught me discipline, humility, and service to something greater than myself.
After completing my service, I returned to the Charlotte area and began a career in law enforcement. I worked third shift as a police officer while balancing family responsibilities and finishing my degree at UNCC. Those years taught me that real success comes from perseverance, showing up, working hard, and keeping your word.
I have dedicated over 25 years to law enforcement, a career that has profoundly shaped who I am and how I serve my community. From patrolling neighborhoods, I’ve seen firsthand the challenges and triumphs that come with keeping people safe. It also gave me a deep appreciation for the strength and resilience of community, and a commitment to serve.
My faith has always been a part of my life, but it has taken me years to fully understand and embrace it. Through challenges, loss, and grace, I have come to rely on God’s guidance more deeply than ever before. That faith now grounds everything I do as a husband, a father, and a public servant.
I have been blessed with a wonderful family, and I believe that family is the foundation upon which all good things are built. It’s where we learn the values that shape our lives: responsibility, humility, and compassion for others.
I feel truly blessed to serve the citizens of Monroe the community my family and I call home. I believe we live in the greatest country in the world, and with faith, family, and hard work, the best days for Monroe are still ahead.
I believe in God, family, and hardwork.
