a record of conservative, common-sense leadership

My voting record on the City Council reflects my conservative principles and commitment to common-sense decisions. As Chairman of the Public Safety Committee, I presented a position statement making it clear that Monroe is not a sanctuary city—never has been—and that we will always work to remove violent offenders from our community, regardless of immigration status.

I voted against the most recent budget because it raised property taxes on Monroe’s citizens. With the county-wide revaluation already increasing tax burdens, I sought ways to avoid adding even more pressure to our families and homeowners.

I’ve worked to keep Monroe family-friendly, pushing for age restrictions and parental attendance requirements at city-owned venues to ensure our children aren’t exposed to adult-themed entertainment.

Fiscal responsibility remains one of my top priorities. I have pushed to keep spending low, voted against increasing travel budgets for the City Council, and worked to reduce administrative costs wherever possible.

I’ve stood firmly against every effort to restrict public comment or make it harder for citizens to be heard. Free speech and open dialogue are at the heart of democracy. As leaders, we don’t earn trust by silencing disagreement — we earn it by listening, even when it’s uncomfortable.

My focus has always been simple: protect families, uphold conservative values, and put Monroe’s citizens first.
